The dAIEDGE Network of Excellence (NoE) aims to strengthen and support a European Advanced AI ecosystem, aligned with the European Lighthouse for AI. It promotes the exchange of ideas and trends on next generation AI, creating links between ecosystem actors to help the European Commission, the European Union and other stakeholders to identify strategies for future developments in Europe.
Open Calls
The dAIEDGE project is looking for 10 researchers or PhD students in the field of edge AI who would like to join our project and collaborate on novel research. Sign up for our first open calls starting 29 August.
Each beneficiary may receive a maximum amount of up to €60,000 for participating in the 7-month Exchange Programme. The programme includes the following stages:
- Plan phase: the beneficiary must submit a research plan document (including challenges, research activities, planned publication and budget) The duration is up to 2 months and, upon completion, the beneficiary will receive 25% of the requested grant (up to €15,000).
- Exchange phase, which should result in a technical report on the research carried out (minimum requirement). The duration is 5 months and, after completion, the beneficiary will receive 75% of the requested grant (up to €45,000).
How will we evaluate the call?
Through a transparent, fair and equitable evaluation process for all participants, with a clearly defined complaints procedure.
- First check: we will check that you meet all the necessary conditions. At this stage, the eligibility criteria are checked against the declaration of honour or self-declarations included in the application form.
- In/out scope check: to maximise impact on the dAIEDGE framework, proposals must have a clear European scope and this must be clearly evidenced
- Individual independent evaluation: at this stage, projects will be evaluated by three dAIEDGE expert partners on the basis of excellence, impact and implementation.
- Consensus meeting: the selection committee together with three experts will decide on the provisional list of beneficiaries.
Our main concern is quality over quantity, so we encourage you to apply at your best, providing as much detail as possible.
Projects that do not comply with the conditions will be rejected.
