a. Development and promotion of an AI research and innovation ecosystem:

This includes fostering an innovative AI ecosystem, advancing AI research and innovation, creating technological value through exemplary AI applications, coordinating pan-European collaborations, developing a virtual center of excellence, and building a strong community.

Legal basis: AIR INSTITUTE's legitimate interest in promoting and supporting research, technological development, and collaboration in the field of AI.

b. Event organization and management:

Legal basis: The basis for this processing is AIR INSTITUTE's legitimate interest in ensuring the proper organization and management of the project, as well as fulfilling the contractual and logistical obligations associated with it.

c. Communication of relevant event information:

Legal basis: The basis for this processing is AIR INSTITUTE's legitimate interest in keeping participants informed about logistical aspects, changes, updates, and other relevant event-related information.

d. Customer service:

If you request information about the services or send inquiries, suggestions, complaints, claims, or incidents through any of the channels AIR INSTITUTE provides (specific form, phone, or email), your personal data will be processed to manage and respond to your request via email or phone call according to the medium you used to submit your request.

Legal basis: The data processing will be carried out to apply, at the request of the data subject, pre-contractual measures or for the execution of the contract (terms and conditions) associated with the purchase or reservation of products or services.

e. Sending newsletters:

AIR INSTITUTE will process the personal data you provide exclusively to send you  commercial communications, including newsletters, as long as you have given your explicit consent via the checkbox on the forms of this website. This consent is necessary for communications to be sent by any means, including electronic channels (email, SMS, phone calls, etc.).

g. Capture of images at DAIEDGE:

AIR INSTITUTE informs you that, in relation to event management and assistance, images and/or videos of attendees, general shots, and ambient sound may be recorded. These recordings are intended to advertise and promote AIR INSTITUTE's image and brand across both internal and external media, increasing the entity’s visibility and creating a public image of AIR INSTITUTE and showcasing its activities and events in line with its ideals and values.

The processing of the images of participants, employees, or collaborators will be carried out with full respect to individual rights, in accordance with Organic Law 1/1982 of May 5, on the protection of the right to honor, personal and family privacy, and self-image. Any recordings or captures that may infringe upon fundamental rights will be removed.

Additionally, we want to remind you that you have the right to object to the processing of your images, as outlined in section 6 of this privacy policy.

Please note that if you do not provide your data, or if it is provided incorrectly or incompletely, we will be unable to process your request, and it will not be possible to provide you with the requested information or to contract the services.

 

4. Recipients

AIR INSTITUTE collaborates with a consortium of European experts from multiple disciplines whose competencies align with the objectives of the “HORIZONTE-CL4-2022-HUMANO-02-02 project. This team is dynamic and capable of efficiently managing the planned activities to achieve the expected results and impacts.

AIR INSTITUTE does not sell, lease, or rent the personal data of its customers or users to third parties, except in cases of legal obligation or when dealing with data processors. These data processors, clearly identified on our website, are committed to complying with the applicable data protection regulations. Among the data processors is Mailchimp, a provider of electronic communication services that handles the distribution of our newsletters and commercial communications. Mailchimp processes personal data in accordance with its privacy policy and terms of use, which comply with applicable data protection laws.

Data will be stored as long as there is mutual interest in maintaining the purpose of processing. Once it is no longer necessary, it will be deleted with appropriate security measures to ensure the pseudonymization or complete destruction of the data.

  • Individuals have the right to receive confirmation as to whether we are processing their personal data.
  • Data subjects have the right to access their personal data, as well as to request the rectification of inaccurate data. When applicable, they may also request their deletion if the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
  • Data subjects may request the restriction of the processing of their data while the accuracy of the data is being verified; when the processing is lawful but they oppose deletion; if the controller no longer requires their data but the user needs it for legal claims; if they object to processing based on legitimate interest, while an assessment is conducted to determine whether the legitimate grounds for processing outweigh their rights.
