2025 has been a key year for dAIEDGE, consolidating our position as a European Network of Excellence in distributed, efficient and reliable Edge AI. Throughout the year, we have worked to generate tangible impact, connect communities and bring technological innovation closer to the real world, from research to industry and society.
One of our major achievements has been the execution of three Open Calls, which have mobilised hundreds of research teams, start-ups and SMEs from dozens of countries. The high level of participation reflects European interest in our challenges and the project's ability to generate innovative solutions in strategic areas such as smart cities, health, robotics and sustainability.
At the same time, the dAIEDGE-VLab has established itself as a key resource for the community, offering a secure and flexible environment for evaluating, comparing and validating AI models in distributed scenarios. This virtual laboratory has made it possible to demonstrate the added value of Edge AI in a tangible way and to promote the adoption of reliable, efficient and privacy-friendly practices.
Our active participation in international events, scientific conferences and industry forums has been fundamental in sharing results, establishing strategic collaborations and strengthening the visibility of the project throughout Europe. Likewise, training initiatives such as the dAIEDGE Summer School have contributed to developing talent and generating a community of experts in Edge AI, ensuring that the knowledge generated is transferred beyond the academic sphere.
In addition, we have worked intensively on disseminating and communicating the project's progress through newsletters, bulletins and a presence on specialised platforms, bringing Edge AI to diverse audiences and promoting constructive dialogue on trust, ethics and sustainability in artificial intelligence.
Overall, 2025 has been a year of growth, consolidation and projection for dAIEDGE. We have laid solid foundations for technology transfer, the adoption of innovative solutions and the building of a united European community around Edge AI.
