Interview with Miguel de Prado (VERSES)

In the framework of the dAIEDGE project, Miguel de Prado, researcher at VERSES, presents an innovative demo that fuses two powerful approaches to artificial intelligence: deep learning and active inference. The result is an intelligent system that not only perceives, but also plans and acts in real time, dynamically adapting to the environment.

By incorporating active inference, the solution becomes a more autonomous system, able to anticipate and make decisions under uncertainty, which is key for applications such as security or distributed robotics.

This demo highlights how advanced AI capabilities can be integrated directly into edge devices, without the need to rely on central servers, promoting efficiency, autonomy and speed in decision making.
