At dAIEDGE, we were founded with the ambition of strengthening the role of Edge AI in Europe, connecting research, innovation and real-world application in the economy. To this end, 36 organisations from multiple European countries have aligned themselves with a common goal: to position Europe as a world leader in the data economy and its applications.
From the outset, we knew that research alone was not enough. That is why we defined a solid, results-oriented strategic agenda that combines scientific research, use cases and a virtual laboratory designed to make innovation accessible and shared by everyone. Our work translates into real solutions that are already being applied in areas such as Smart warehouse, Edge AI for Satellite and Smart cities.
But we are not just about technology: above all, we are about collaboration. We share our knowledge and advances by making our resources available to the community so that they can be explored, reused and scaled up (You can find them by clicking here).
At the same time, we have worked to consolidate an active and connected community. dAIEDGE brings together researchers, developers and professionals through online courses, interactive webinars, international conferences and major conferences held in different parts of Europe. All of this is part of a flexible and practical ecosystem, designed to facilitate collaboration and joint progress in artificial intelligence. These efforts have been key to maximising the impact of our Open Calls, through which we have managed to activate hundreds of players in the European ecosystem, with growing participation call after call. The numbers from the latest calls we launched clearly reflect this interest: 529 applications received, 236 proposals submitted and participants from 33 countries.
Our involvement and work does not stop there. At dAIEDGE, we are proud to belong to the AI Network of Excellence, a strategic initiative that connects the continent's leading AI projects. And we are not only proud to belong to the network, but at dAIEDGE we are also proud to be part of this network and to actively contribute to its visibility, leading the official newsletter of the AI Network of Excellence and helping to keep the community informed and connected (You can subscribe here so you don't miss the next edition).
