dAIEDGE is driving the development of trustworthy cognitive robotics at ERF 2026

During ERF 2026, dAIEDGE had the privilege of participating in and organising, alongside the European projects ELSA, ELIAS, euROBIN and Horizon Enfield, the workshop entitled ‘Building Sustainable and Trustworthy Cognitive Robotics for Europe’, a forum for discussion and debate focused on the future of sustainable and trustworthy cognitive robotics in Europe.

This workshop brought together experts, researchers and European policymakers, providing a forum to discuss current and future challenges in artificial intelligence and robotics, as well as strategies to ensure sustainability, ethics and trust in cognitive systems.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the speakers who took part, for their time, dedication and generosity in sharing their knowledge, experiences and projects during the workshop.

In particular, we would like to thank Rebecca Schedl-Warpup and Alin Albu-Schaeffer (German Aerospace Center (DLR)), Mohamed Selim (Project Manager of dAIEDGE), Josef Sivic (Czech Tech University, CTU) and Pankaj Pander (Horizon Enfield) for their valuable contribution and commitment to the development of cognitive robotics in Europe. Furthermore, we would like to give special mention to Cecile, Head of Unit “Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics” at the European Commission, whose vision and leadership were fundamental to understanding the European strategy on AI and robotics.

This event highlighted the importance of building cognitive robotics ecosystems that are sustainable, reliable and aligned with European values. The interaction with attendees and the quality of the presentations reinforce our commitment to excellence, collaboration and applied research in the field of artificial intelligence.

See you at the next edition of ERF, where we will continue to drive innovation and share experiences that contribute to a more responsible and sustainable technological future.
