This programme aims to select up to 10 innovative projects addressing industrial challenges defined by the dAIEDGE consortium, fostering solutions that leverage the power of artificial intelligence at the Edge.
Following the great success of our first call, which attracted 146 applications from researchers around the world and resulted in 36 complete proposals from 21 countries, and breaking the record in the second call with more than 520 applications and 236 complete proposals from more than 33 countries, we are launching our third and final Open Calls, in which we hope to reach the same record.
With total funding of up to €60,000 per project and a duration of up to 7 months, participants will progress through two key stages:
- A one-month planning phase (with funding up to €9,000), and
- A six-month implementation phase (up to €51,000).
Throughout both phases, selected participants will benefit from guidance by dAIEDGE technical experts to develop and showcase their solutions.
Selected proposals will have access to the dAIEDGE Virtual Lab, the opportunity to integrate new tools, and the ability to reuse existing project developments and use cases. The industrial challenges include hidden weapon detection systems, continuous learning-based edge robotics, energy-efficient AI solutions, and deploying large language models on memory-constrained Edge devices. In this case, we have a total of 13 industrial challenges, there are opportunities for all specialities. Complete list of challenges.
The call is open to legal entities such as research organisations, universities, start-ups, and SMEs from EU countries, associated territories, or Horizon Europe countries. Applications may be submitted individually or in consortia of up to two entities via this link.
