Promoting the development of a European AI ecosystem at the ADR Forum 2025

At dAIEDGE we had the privilege of taking part in the ADR Forum 2025, an event that brought together international experts to discuss the future of artificial intelligence and its role in alternative dispute resolution. For us, these two days were an extraordinary opportunity to showcase our progress, build new connections and, above all, share our vision and goal of positioning Europe as a leader in the data economy and its applications.

Our participation was marked by several important milestones. The highlight was the contribution of Alain Pagani, Deputy Director of the Department of Augmented Vision at DFKI and Coordinator of dAIEDGE, in the prestigious “Science for AI” panel. This debate brought together leading figures such as Mario Fritz (CISPA), Yiannis Kompatsiaris (CERTH), Jan Hajic (Charles University), Sébastien Bratières (Translated), Sokratis Katsikas (NTNU) and Nicu Sebe (University of Trento). The central theme was the possible creation of RAISE (Resource for AI Science in Europe), a European virtual institute that could be launched before the end of the year, with the aim of coordinating computing power, data, talent and funding to advance AI science across all disciplines. Taking part in a panel of this calibre strengthens our commitment to international collaboration and to building a strong, interdisciplinary European ecosystem that will lead innovation in the data economy and its applications.

In addition, within the framework of the forum we presented our Virtual Laboratory (dAIEDGE-VLab), a space designed for users to experiment, test new ideas and accelerate the development of their projects. This virtual laboratory is far more than just a platform: it is an innovation ecosystem where researchers, start-ups and companies can access advanced tools, specialised resources and expert knowledge to help turn ideas into real-world solutions.

Another key moment was the announcement of our third Open Call, aimed at those with innovative projects in AI, data or robotics. We are offering up to €60,000 in funding to support these initiatives and help them scale. Applications are open until 14 October, and we encourage all innovators to seize this unique opportunity to take their ideas to the next level. You can submit your proposal by clicking here.

The overall outcome of these two days has been very positive: we leave with greater visibility, credibility and strategic connections with ADR centres, universities and public entities that have already expressed interest in collaborating on pilot projects.
