Interview with Mhd Rashed on dAIEDGE use cases

Within the framework of the dAIEDGE project, research in computer vision and deep learning is reaching high levels of efficiency thanks to the work of Mhd Rashed Al Koutayni, researcher at DFKI Kaiserslautern (Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz - German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence).

His focus is on accelerating computer vision algorithms through the use of FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays), enabling faster and more efficient processing on edge devices.

Use cases in which it participates:

  • Smart Cities: In collaboration with Unimore, they optimise artificial vision algorithms to improve security and urban management.
  • Algorithm classification: DFKI with DLR are developing classification algorithms for satellites, improving climate observation and prediction.
