Last week, the dAIEDGE project consortium, made up of 35 partners from 15 European countries, held a new General Assembly at the University of Glasgow, bringing together representatives from the institutions and organisations that form part of our European network dedicated to advancing distributed and edge artificial intelligence over two days, Thursday and Friday. The meeting was a key opportunity to review the project's progress, share recent results and coordinate the next steps in an initiative that seeks to strengthen the European research ecosystem in Edge AI.

Throughout the working sessions on both days, the project partners presented the progress made in the various work packages, addressing both the technical development and the coordination, management and dissemination activities of the project. These presentations provided a comprehensive overview of the current status of the initiative, assessed progress against the established objectives and aligned efforts for the next phases of the project. The exchange between the teams also facilitated the identification of synergies between the different lines of research and the sharing of knowledge and experiences around the scientific and technological challenges associated with the development of artificial intelligence solutions in distributed environments.

Beyond technical updates, the General Assembly provided an essential space to strengthen collaboration between the partners that make up dAIEDGE. The interdisciplinary and multinational nature of the project means that these types of meetings play a fundamental role in consolidating project coordination, promoting new ideas and ensuring the strategic coherence of the different activities carried out within the network. The discussions held during the meeting helped to define priorities for the coming months and to continue building a shared vision for the future of distributed artificial intelligence in Europe.
The meeting concluded with a very positive assessment of the work carried out to date and a renewed commitment by all partners to continue promoting research and innovation in Edge AI. The consortium would like to express its special thanks to the University of Glasgow for hosting the meeting.
