Successful 2nd dAIEDGE General Assembly held in Heraklion, Crete

The dAIEDGE project has held its second general assembly during the 5th and 6th of September in Heraklion, (Crete).

During the meeting, each member of the consortium presented the progress made on their respective work packages over the last 6 months. In addition, the roadmap to be followed was jointly defined, in order to advance towards the achievement of all the project objectives.

The main objective of dAIEDGE is to boost Europe's innovation and technology base by developing a comprehensive approach to policy and governance for artificial intelligence, positioning the EU as a world leader in innovation in the data economy and its applications. To this end, the 36 partners from Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK are collaborating on various technical, scientific and outreach tasks.

Another topic discussed during the assembly were the first Open Calls. In this context, it was announced that the first of the three planned calls is already open, addressed to companies or projects interested in participating in our 7-month Exchange Programme to address the industrial challenges identified by the project. Remember that the deadline to send us your proposal is 31 October.

As a result of this meeting, we have strengthened the strategic alliances between the partners and established a clear direction in line with the defined objectives.

Finally, we would like to thank ICS-FORTH for organising this year's meeting, and especially Christos Kozanitis (ICS-FORTH partner) and Angelos Bilas (CARV-FORTH director) for their kindness and above all their closeness to all dAIEDGE members.
