Impact of dAIEDGE in November!

November has drawn to a close, and at dAIEDGE, we’re celebrating a month packed with activities, reaffirming our commitment to driving AI innovation across Europe.

  • November Highlights

At the beginning of the month, we had the privilege of participating in the ADR Forum 2024 in Eindhoven (Netherlands). Representing dAIEDGE, our project manager Alain Pagani joined a roundtable discussion titled “Generative AI for Human-AI Collaboration.” The session highlighted the increasing importance of developing intuitive, adaptable AI systems that can work seamlessly alongside humans. This focus aligns with the European Commission's recommendations to expand excellence networks like Humane AI Net. Key insights included the need for algorithms that enhance collaboration, the role of AI in fostering synergistic partnerships, and its capacity to connect vast datasets to drive innovation and efficiency.

Mid-November, we turned our attention to the future of Industry 4.0 by participating in the 5th IFAC/INSTICC International Conference on Innovative Intelligent Industrial Production and Logistics (IN4PL 2024) in Porto (Portugal). This event provided an invaluable platform to explore the latest advancements in industrial and logistics technologies. Our partners from Vicomtech, Ander García Gangoiti and Xiao Lin, contributed to discussions on how cutting-edge AI is revolutionising manufacturing and logistics.

Later in the month, we were honoured to take part in the prestigious Data Science Conference (DSC) Europe 2024. Dr Miguel de Prado, Senior Research Engineer and Technical Programme Director at VERSES, represented dAIEDGE. In his presentation, “Intelligent Agents for Real-World Edge Applications,” Dr de Prado explored the challenges of deploying AI at the edge, including scalability, efficiency, continuous learning, and adaptive modelling. His insights, delivered to an audience of more than 5,000 attendees, underscored the critical role of edge AI in enabling autonomous, intelligent systems in complex environments.

Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to join us in shaping this exciting future.
