dAIEDGE´s Impact in September 2025!

This past September has been particularly intense and productive for dAIEDGE, marked by strategic meetings, major international events, and the consolidation of key projects that strengthen our commitment to building a robust, collaborative, and sustainable European artificial intelligence ecosystem.

The month began with the two-day celebration of our 5th General Assembly, held at the historic Colegio Fonseca of the University of Salamanca (Spain). During this gathering, all dAIEDGE partners reviewed the progress achieved since our last meeting at the Sorbonne University (Paris). Among the key milestones, we presented the latest and most significant developments of our dAIEDGE-VLab — a virtual environment designed to assess and compare the performance of AI models under different conditions while ensuring data and model protection. Throughout the Assembly, we not only analyzed and advanced our work but also strengthened bonds within the consortium, encouraging the exchange of ideas and the creation of new synergies.

In September, we also took part in the International Cooperation Day, held at the International Centre for Spanish at the University of Salamanca. At this event, our coordinator, Alain Pagani (DFKI), presented dAIEDGE’s vision of how artificial intelligence can drive international cooperation and reinforce Europe’s technological leadership. Alongside him, Micaela Verucchi (Hipert) showcased several of our smart city use cases, highlighting how Edge AI solutions can enhance urban efficiency and resource management.

We also participated in the ADR Forum 2025, an international meeting focused on the role of artificial intelligence in alternative dispute resolution. There, Alain Pagani took part in the prestigious “Science for AI” panel, sharing the stage with leading figures such as Mario Fritz (CISPA), Yiannis Kompatsiaris (CERTH) and Sokratis Katsikas (NTNU), among others, where they discussed the creation of RAISE.

During this forum, we also announced our third Open Call, which offers up to €60,000 per project to support innovative initiatives in artificial intelligence, data, and robotics. This call, open until 14 October, aims to accelerate the adoption of Edge AI technologies across key industrial sectors.

We concluded the month with another major milestone — our participation in SIDO 2025, one of Europe’s leading events in technological innovation, where we strengthened connections with new stakeholders from the AI, IoT, robotics, and XR ecosystems.
