MPP02 AI-based and Quantum Computing multi-partner projects | date 2026

We invite you to attend our participation in the workshop “MPP02 AI-based and Quantum Computing Multi-Partner Projects”, where the dAIEDGE Network of Excellence will be presented as a flagship initiative advancing distributed, trustworthy, efficient and scalable Artificial Intelligence at the edge.

The session will take place on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, from 16:30 to 18:00 CEST, in Room Rigoletto. The presentation will be delivered by Alain Pagani from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), representing a broad consortium of leading European research institutions, universities and industry partners contributing to the dAIEDGE initiative.

During this session, we will introduce the vision and strategic objectives of dAIEDGE as a Network of Excellence designed to strengthen Europe’s position in next-generation AI. The project aims to foster a dynamic and interconnected ecosystem by promoting collaboration across disciplines and sectors, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, and aligning research and innovation efforts under the broader framework of the European Lighthouse for AI. Particular attention will be given to how dAIEDGE contributes to advancing a comprehensive policy and governance approach, supporting the European Union’s ambition to become a global leader in the data-driven economy.

The presentation will also highlight the collaborative nature of multi-partner projects, demonstrating how coordinated efforts across academia, research centres and industry can accelerate technological progress and enable scalable, real-world AI solutions. Attendees will gain insight into the role of such initiatives in shaping future research directions, strengthening European competitiveness, and supporting sustainable innovation in AI and related domains, including emerging intersections with quantum computing.
