On behalf of the dAIEDGE Network of Excellence, we are pleased to invite you to participate in a special session dedicated to the convergence of Artificial Intelligence, edge computing and blockchain technologies. This session is organised under the framework of dAIEDGE and coordinated by Prof. Óscar Déniz Suárez and Prof. Jean-Marc Bonnefous.
The session will explore how the integration of AI with edge and distributed infrastructures is enabling a new generation of scalable, trustworthy and decentralised systems. As industries increasingly adopt these technologies to optimise operations, enhance decision-making and ensure secure and transparent processes, the combination with blockchain introduces additional capabilities in terms of trust, auditability and decentralised governance.
This special session is designed to provide both a scientific and applied perspective on these developments. It will bring together researchers, industry representatives and innovators to discuss real-world applications and emerging solutions that leverage distributed AI at the edge, supported by blockchain infrastructures. Particular attention will be given to topics such as trustworthy AI inference, decentralised learning approaches, secure data sharing, autonomous edge agents and the development of decentralised marketplaces for data, models and computing resources.
In order to foster interaction and practical engagement, the session will include a demonstration component where participants will have the opportunity to present live demos of their work, either on-site or via video. Contributions showcasing applied research, prototypes or industrial use cases will be especially valued. The programme is expected to feature a keynote presentation, technical contributions, selected demonstrations and a panel discussion involving representatives from academia, SMEs and the dAIEDGE ecosystem. This panel will address how decentralised AI systems can respond to current industry needs while opening new opportunities for funding, investment and market adoption.
The session also aims to stimulate discussion on sustainability and exploitation pathways, encouraging participants to engage with the broader dAIEDGE ecosystem and benefit from its collaborative network. All contributors will be invited to connect with the Network of Excellence and explore future opportunities for collaboration.
We kindly note that the submission deadline for contributions is 29 April. We encourage you to consider submitting your work and to share this invitation with colleagues and partners who may be interested in contributing.
